If it’s bound to happen, it will happen.
Oftentimes, we get hit with life. Someone that we expected to have in our life forever suddenly doesn’t see us the same way. An exam that we studied so hard for and ended up failing in. Someone that you love deeply but also realize that it won’t work out. There are many such moments in life where we are left blank. Sometimes, we feel empty or numb, like there’s something missing. Other times we feel sadness, rage or even pity ourselves. Although the emotions are either at a zero or an extreme during such situations, what we don’t realize is that these are the moments where life happens.
I’m not suggesting to stay passive, but let life happen the way it was meant to. Do not kill yourself trying to make things happen that aren’t meant to happen for you. There are years where nothing happens and there are days where years happen. Maybe this moment that has you stuck in your life, is exactly the catalyst needed to take you to a different phase in your life or perhaps a number of such moments make you a person worthy and brave enough to handle whatever greatness life has in store for you. No experience, whether good or bad, is wasted. It is all nothing but a part of life and a part of yourself. Cherish the goodness and the badness of your life and live to your fullest.
Life constantly shows us again and again that we don’t control the universe. The universe takes care of us. We still hold onto the belief that we can have control over everything but in reality, we only have control over how we react and deal with it. This realization that life will keep on happening, and that everything is temporary, really sets you free to an extent. Beyond a certain measure, we don’t have control over how life plays out. All we can do is stay hopeful, keep living and strive for what you want and if it still doesn’t happen the way you want it to, then maybe its just not written for you.
Note from H. Tayrone:
One of the worst feelings I ever dealt with was wanting something SO SO bad, but just being said no to every time. It was so awful anyone seeing me during that time would confirm I lost my mind. One must know how to let go, it's pure misery if you don't.
